Nha Trang is a coastal city in the central portion of Vietnam. With a population of about 700,000 it has numerous beaches and seaside resorts. It also is home to Vinpearl, a huge amusement park with a gondola ride that spans the bay that leads into the city.
Also in the city area are the ruins of the old Champa culture, a population that lived in Vietnam for about 1600 years, up until 1832. The culture was slightly different from that of the Vietnamese and at the temple ruins they demonstrate some of their dances.
