Nagoya

Whenever possible our excursions focus on botanical gardens and here outside of Nagoya is our first one.

Nabana-no-Sato garden is known for its begonias.  These are unbelievable, along with fuchsias and a variety of other plants and flowers, there are so many and so meticulously maintained that they do not look real.  The grounds are beautiful and of course, ultra-clean.  An added attraction is an observation deck that looks like the old starship Enterprise and rises to viewing height on a long armature.

A few lingering cherry blossoms in Nabana-no-Sato gardens.

So many well-cared for begonias; they almost look fake.  The quantity is truly unreal.

Yes, all real.  Enormous baskets of hanging fuchsias.

A closer look at some of the begonias in their individual pots.

Definitely a photo opportunity shot.

This is the rotating viewing platform.  In this photo the arm is extended and rising as it lifts the platform.

From there the entire garden can be seen.  Yes, we went up on it.
