Tokyo

Tokyo Haneda airport is very busy.  Unbeknownst to us, there are two forms required to be completed so you can go through Immigration and Customs.  Both could be completed there online (no wifi yet for us) or in advance or using their automated kiosks.  Fortunately that went smoothly, but everyone piles up to get his done once off the plane.

That night we met an FA Fellow who lives in Tokyo but attends a Zoom meeting that Luanne goes to.  Ann, a very nice woman in her 50's, a trained translator, made the schlep to our hotel and joined us for dinner.  Luanne found a place that served make-your-own bowls and Ann did the ordering.  We all enjoyed the time spent together.

Cherry blossoms are one of the things to see in Tokyo, and we timed our trip for that.  Unfortunately they came early this year.  Fortunately the blossoming cherry tree in our own front yard did not disappoint.

Another must see in Japan are the toilets.  Yes!  This is the control panel for the toilet in our hotel.  Front and back rinsing, air dry, auto flush or manual.  These features even extend to restaurant and public toilets.
