After the stop in Tacoma, we headed straight to Portland. A lovely city, with great food and beautiful sights. We were able to walk everywhere (except to Mt. Hood).
On our Antarctica trip we became friends with a couple who live in Portland, part of our incentive to visit. Another reason is Luanne’s paternal grandmother lived in Portland, and she was last there when she was about 8-years old. Her entire family drove up to visit then, straight from Los Angeles.
