The Gambia
Because of a criminal attack at our stop in the Ivory Coast—16 dead—the week before our scheduled arrival, we spent an extra day at sea and went straight to The Gambia.
We road around a lot, stopping in the towns of Banjul, Serakunda and Bankau. We visited the National Museum which has quite a lot of history about the country and its tribal and colonial periods. We walked through a local neighborhood to visit a crocodile park where Ira got to pet a well-fed crocodile.
