Our first stop in Morocco was in Agadir. We took a 90 minute bus ride to the Berber and Arab marketplace in Taroudannt (a Berber word meaning “they are taken”). We spent the most of the day sightseeing along the way and in the market, which has an unbelievable quantity of items of any and all types.
Along the way we saw trees full of goats—yes, there are really tree-climbing goats. They climb in the argan tree to feed on the nut, which is used for many things. The oil is used in cosmetics in this country.
