Well, maybe not in the picture shown here, but for Jeremy, it has been—a lot.

Jessica and Jeremy have lived in Santa Cruz for about 4 years now, and Jeremy tries to go surfing almost every day, weather and waves permitting.

The video linked to the photo below is rare footage of Jeremy catching a wave (the catching part is not rare, just actual film of him surfing is rare).  Also, this wave was in San Diego after Jeremy attended a conference.  He is the surfer who stays up longest in this shot.

Luanne did a watercolor painting of this photo.  Along with all of her other artwork, it can be seen at her site.

At two-years old, Kaia already can hang five.

2017 UPDATE:

On one of the hottest days of the year, and also Father’s Day, we headed to the beach at Bolinas Bay with Jeremy, Jessica, Kaia and two surfboards.  You can see that J&J made it into the water, although nothing too spectacular in terms of waves.  Meanwhile, Kaia and Savtah Lu waded in and watched. 

This last one looks a little like the first one to the left.
